AC Condenser Supply Line
« on: March 19, 2017, 08:07:56 PM »
We landed a large residential loss in Shelter Island NY from the internet. I feel that my constant posting and sharing on RB is helping my site rank high in organic search. My page is ranking great and thankfully someone in need saw my site and i was hired for the job. This water damage was caused by the AC condenser supply line in the attic breaking. The water affected the attic, the top floor, main floor, basement and garage. Almost every area of this 6 bedroom home has been affected and if it wasn't directly affected it suffered secondary damage from the excess moisture in the air. The pipe was even wrapped with insulation. I see this pretty often...I am not an AC guy but there must be some way to winterize or shut off the supply during the winter when not in use. This is a vacation home and the homeowner did have a care taker but no one is sure as to how honest he is being about his visits. He claimed he was there the day before but by the looks of the damage here it looks as if the water may have been running at least a couple of days. the water was coming out the front door and windows! We have our work cut out for ourselves on this one. So far the customer is happy with what we have done so far. Having a good customer makes the job a little does having a good crew on the job!
